Alamosa Flowers: San Luis Valley, Colorado

I think Spring is on the way!

pansies proch

Spring is late in the San Luis Valley this year.

I'm enjoying pansies on the patio and tomatoes and a geranium in the indoor greenhouse.

Only a few tiny bulbs are blooming. I call them "bend down" flowers since you have to bend down to really see the tiny beauties.

Last year at this time creeping phlox and jonquils were in full bloom. Low tulips and golden banner were also out.

Love these tiny whites, Chionodoxa luciliae 'Alba'. For scale, note the pistachio shells.
