Alamosa Flowers: San Luis Valley, Colorado

Flower Detail

Tradescantia virginiana

Spiderwort has long, grassy-looking leaves. The spreading clumps may become invasive. I'm not crazy about their tendency to turn brown in early august. Each flowers lasts just one day and may get lost under the leaves.
