Flower Detail

Lupinus fabaceae

Lupines are the showiest of my early bloomers. Sometimes they come back beautifully; sometimes they just die. I don't know the secret. I do know they are worth the effort. Talls lupines may need staking if exposed to high winds. There are a variety of colors, but I do best with pink and purle.
