Alamosa Flowers: San Luis Valley, Colorado

Flower Detail

papaver nuudicaule

I have a beautiful stand of these hardy flowers near the middle of my yard. There are one of the first to bloom in the spring. While they are at their height of bloom in June, they continue to provide a few flowers until the end of September. Mine are all yellow and orange and were given to me by another local gardener. They reseed well and I don't have to mess with them much.381
